Yerney, an elderly servant, had devoted his entire life to honest labor on the estate, only to be unjustly cast out by the young heir following the master’s death. Unwilling to accept such arbitrary cruelty, he embarks on a long journey in search of ultimate justice, appealing to the courts, the church, and even the authorities. This journey evolves into a dramatic clash between the little man’s naive belief in justice and the soulless state machine.
