Description
Hippocrates wrote his “Oath” at the dawn of human civilization. It commits physicians to high ethical principles such as the preservation of life, patient confidentiality and the avoidance of harmful treatments. This oath has been adapted many times to new realities, but it can still be considered the basis of medical ethics throughout the world. It embodies the principles of caring for the health and well-being of patients.
